Arizona Adaptive Water Sports (AAWS) believes everyone should have the chance to enjoy being on the water and our scholarship program helps people who need financial assistance take part in our programs.

If you receive a scholarship, you agree to give back by volunteering with AAWS. This helps us continue our mission and gives you the chance to help others enjoy the water too.

Volunteer jobs may include:

  • Helping with event setup and cleanup

  • Greeting participants and families

  • Helping with registration

  • Cleaning or organizing equipment

  • Assisting at fundraisers or community events

  • Other jobs that match your abilities and interests

AAWS understands that everyone has different strengths and abilities. We will work with you to find volunteer opportunities that are safe, fun, and a good fit for you.

By accepting an AAWS scholarship, you agree to complete your volunteer commitment. Your time and service help make it possible for more people with disabilities and their families to experience the freedom, fun, and adventure of being on the water.

Purpose of the Give Back Scholarship

The AAWS Give Back Scholarship Program was created to make sure that financial hardship does not keep someone from participating in adaptive watersports. At the same time, the program encourages recipients to give back by serving others. Together, we build a stronger community where everyone helps create life-changing experiences for people with disabilities.Financial information on this form is confidential and is only viewed by Arizona Adaptive Water Sports Staff. Non-financial information will be shared with Move United. Move United collates demographic information for reporting purposes and does not share individually identifying information with the funder.

Arizona Adaptive Water Sports reserves the right to review documentation of your income when determining eligibility.
