Thank you for applying for the Give Back Scholarship.
Scholarship recipients are asked to give back by serving as volunteers with Arizona Adaptive Water Sports. This volunteer commitment is designed to foster a spirit of community, encourage leadership, and help sustain our programs so that more individuals with disabilities and their families can benefit from future opportunities.
Volunteer service may include assisting with registration, event setup and cleanup, equipment preparation, greeting participants, administrative projects, fundraising events, community outreach, or other approved activities based on the individual's abilities and interests.
As a general guideline, scholarship recipients are expected to complete volunteer service equal to the value of their scholarship. Volunteer hours should be completed within twelve (12) months of receiving the scholarship unless alternative arrangements are approved by AAWS.
By accepting an AAWS scholarship, recipients acknowledge their commitment to fulfilling the volunteer requirement and becoming an active part of the Arizona Adaptive Water Sports family. Together, we strengthen our mission of ensuring that anyone with a disability has access to the water and can embrace the freedom and adventure that awaits.
