What we do

AAWS is honored that you have chosen us to provide your experience of adaptive water sports including-tubing, fishing, boating, kayaking, adaptive waterskiing, wakeboarding and wake surfing.

Why the hype?

Having access to experience the joys of playing on the water with family and friends is priceless!

All participants are required to register to attend any AAWS event.  Scroll down to the right section to register.

To have a successful day on the water, remember to bring: 

  • any medications you might need

  • clothing for sun protection (hat, sunglasses, etc)

  • sunscreen

  • drinks and food (or money for the marina's restaurants)

COVID -19

In an effort to reduce the risk of COVID-19 exposure and to help prevent the spread of the virus, you many not attend if you have had any recent exposure to the COVID-19 virus. 

 If any of the following apply to you, you may not attend: 

  • You have had close contact with an individual infected with COVID-19 within the last 14 days.

  • You are currently experiencing, or have experienced in the past 14 days, fever, cough or shortness of  breath. 

  • You have had close contact within the last 14 days with an individual suspected of being infected with COVID-19, including individuals exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms.

  • You have traveled to an area this is under a level 2, 3 or 4 travel advisory by the U.S. State Department.

Safety and Contact

AAWS’s number one priority is to safety. We provide a positive, fun, family oriented experience to all of our participants and volunteers. In order to accomplish this, AAWS’s volunteers and participants are required to adhere to the following:

  • The use of foul or abusive language, alcohol, marijuana or illegal drugs of any kind is strictly prohibited.

  • Volunteers and participants may not carry or otherwise bring weapons of any kind.

  • Only certified service animals are allowed to attend.

  • Please be courteous, patient and respectful to others at all times. Treat others and their property the way you would want to be treated.

  • Follow the instructions provided by Team Leaders at all times.

  • Volunteers are not allowed to assist participants in the bathroom.

  • Volunteers are not allowed to be alone with participants at any time.

  • When assisting with a transfer or being fitted for equipment you must get approval from the participant and verbally explain how you will be assisting him/her. If the participant is non-verbal please get approval from the caregiver or family member.

  • Dress appropriately.

  • Take appropriate precautions. Wear sun screen. Stay hydrated.

  • Ask for help! AAWS’s Volunteers and Team Leaders are here to help you. If you are having difficulty, let us know.


FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS CODE OF CONDUCT MAY BE THE BASIS FOR BEING EXCLUDED FROM AAWS ACTIVITIES.
